I think this piece has a humorous quality. I finally deemed this the moment to use my collection of carefully curated black and gold Czech beads. I did a few designs, laying the beads on the rug in different configurations… until something struck me. I wove the plastic canvas and did the careful and frustrating beading. I happened to have just the right amount of feather trim left over from another project. Should I or should I not obsessed me until I sent an email to friends and family asking for a vote for or against the feathers. The ayes had it. It does give it the askew quality that is seeping into my present work.
